Antti-Jussi LUMIJÄRVI has been working as the director of technology of the company group since 17 October The new director arrived from Magyar Telekom to our publishing house.
Antti-Jussi Lumijärvi (AJ) has international and multicultural experience of more than 15 years in the telecommunications and IT sector. After managing the ERP and BI Solutions divisions at Magyar Telekom, the became the Head of Service Development and Innovation Solutions Branch of the company in 2015.
Concerning his new responsibilities, he said the following: “Prior to being appointed to an executive position at Magyar Telekom, I had had the opportunity to gain useful experience in several related fields. After working 15 years in telecommunications, learning a completely new industry will be the biggest change and also challenge for me. I believe that I will be able to help the development of Central Media Group with the experience I have gained so far.”
As a director of technology, AJ has been the Head of the IT and Online Solutions Department since today. These areas are responsible for IT operation, the infrastructure of our internal systems and websites, as well as for the development of web and mobile applications.
In connection with his appointment, CEO Zoltán Varga added: “As a Central-European media company, our future success is determined by our efficiency and know-how in the field of IT. At Central, we must further strengthen or develop abilities which will show journalistic excellence in a completely new form to readers. We need a director who is a real innovator. AJ is perfect for this position.”
