There are individuals without whom Central Media Group, celebrating its 10th anniversary, would be a different place. These people have made a lasting impact through their exceptional professional work and decades of dedicated effort. They serve as an inspiration, and we owe them our gratitude. This year, for the first time, we recognized them with awards created with the intent of establishing a new tradition.
So, who are they?
Lifetime Achievement Award Winners:
- Gabriella Dévay, Head of Magazine Sales – The Wonder Woman of print sales. This year marks 20 years of her unquestionable expertise and loyalty.
- Ildikó Kulcsár, Journalist and Writer – The smile of women’s weekly Nők Lapja. She has been a valued colleague at the magazine for over two decades. Her work has been recognized with the Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit.
- Erzsébet Schäffer, Journalist and Writer – The cheer of women’s weekly Nők Lapja. Her professional career has been honored with the Prima Primissima Award, and she has been with the magazine since the 1990s.
Professional Award Winners:
- Zoltán Besenyi, Head of Controlling – The Saint Peter of our finances. For 26 years, he has been proactive and meticulous. He works with enthusiasm and perseverance, creating a reliable team with his colleagues.
- Andrea Csoma-Fodor, Digital Campaign Manager – The Dorothy of the native team, never straying from the yellow brick road between sales and products. Instead of blood, HáziPatika flows through her veins; she knows every campaign like the back of her hand.
- Sándor Fábián, Head of Analysis – For 16 years, he has held the philosopher’s stone regarding our data. There is no problem he cannot patiently solve, always offering solutions without compromise.
- Ágnes Koszonics, Head of Accounting and Finance – She has been with us since 2006 and for the past 3 years, she has been the guardian angel of our finances. Her professional knowledge and patience are outstanding, her curiosity unwavering, and her knowledge up to date.
- Erika Sármány, Editor-Project Manager – The pillar of 24.hu. She handles technological operations with professionalism and perfectionism, which is not only exemplary but sometimes even incomprehensible.
Posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award:
- András Szegő, Journalist – A permanent member of Nők Lapja. For two decades, we knew him as a wonderful person and generous colleague. He was passionate about writing. His unique interviews with actors became reader favorites, and he also had a remarkable rapport with scientists and writers, often the first to whom they shared their life stories. His life was his work, and his work was his life. Thank you for everything, András!
