We are very proud that two members of the Central Media Group have been invited to join the jury of the Budapest International Documentary Film Festival (BIDF), which will be held between January 24 and February 1 in Budapest and 12 other cities across the country.

Krisztina Tóth-Szántó, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire Hungary, and Ágnes Benke, journalist at 24.hu, have been appointed to the festival jury. Their jury membership clearly demonstrates that colleagues working for Central brands are recognized professionals not only in the domestic but also in the international cultural and film discourse.

BIDF is one of the most important documentary film events in Central Europe: the program includes 60 films and around 250 screenings, with many of the screenings accompanied by audience Q&A sessions. Nearly 40 renowned foreign filmmakers will attend the festival, including several Oscar, IDFA, Locarno, Karlovy Vary, and Toronto IFF award-winning documentary filmmakers.

The jury consists of Hungarian and international film professionals, artists, and public figures. Among the members of the committee are such well-known names as Pál Mácsai, János Másik, Ferenc Molnár “Caramel,” Tamás Pajor, Edina Pottyondy, and Csaba Kovács, rector of MOME.

We are particularly pleased that the professional presence of our colleagues at such a prestigious event contributes to the visibility of Central Media Group’s cultural and editorial values.

Congratulations to Krisztina and Ágnes, and we wish them every success with the festival! 🎬👏
